Battle of the BOOM is a virtual music competition showcasing the BEST bands across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei.

Your band can fill up the form at www.hausboom.com/battleoftheboom to go to the auditioning stage. Auditions are open from 1 - 21 February 2021.

We welcome all bands of all genres from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei!

There is a cash prize of RM15,000! First place winner will win RM10,000, second place winner will win RM3,000 and third place will win RM2,000. However, the #IniLagiBoom award, rewards one lucky chosen band from the top 15 to win a recording contract with Aset Records! It could be you!

This competition is for bands only

We only accept original songs for this competition. Strictly no copyrighted songs are allowed. You can read the terms and conditions (javascript:void(0))to read in more detail.

Admission is FREE of charge

The points are calculated based on a 70:30 ratio. 70% of the votes comes from the professional jury and commentators whilst the 30% comes from public voting based on Instagram likes.

We have a talented line of professional juries and commentators that will judge, provide feedback and determines who makes the cut to the next round. Our juries are - AG Coco music producer and guitarist for Malaysian rock band Hujan. - Youk a songwriter and bassist for Malaysian rock band Bunkface. - Qi Razali foodie TV Host/presenter emcee and drummer for Malaysian indie rock band OAG Our commentator is Alif Satar & the Locos, a band from Malaysia.

ASET Records will be monitoring the whole competition from day 1. The #IniLagiBoom award rewards 1 special band a recording contract with ASET Records. The chosen band must not be tied to any other recording label.

We have extended the auditions to 21st February so you guys have more time to submit your videos!

GOLDEN BOOM TICKET is an "express" pass for Indonesian bands to qualify for the shortlisting round. Indonesian bands who submit through the GOLDEN BOOM TICKET will stand a chance to be secured a position into the next stage for Battle of the Boom!
